In the Spring of 1916... 

the Angel of Peace taught the three children of Fátima this prayer... 

making them repeat it three times.

My God, 

I believe, I adore, I hope and I love You.

And I ask Your forgiveness for those 

who do not believe, do not adore, 

do not hope & do not love You.

Mijn God,

ik geloof, ik aanbid, ik hoop en ik hou van U.

En ik vraag U vergiffenis voor hen

die niet geloven, niet aanbidden,

niet hopen & niet

van U houden.

The angel then said, "Pray thus. The Hearts of Jesus and Mary are attentive to the voice of your supplications." To believe, adore, hope, and love God is to practice the theological virtues of faith, hope and charity.
