camino

Why is it called Compostela?

Some say, the name Compo-stela derives from the Latin 'campus stellae', field of the star(s)...

which could refer to the hermit Pelayo's vision in 813...

when shooting stars showed him the location of the tomb...

of the apostle James the Great, and his disciples...

Theodore and Athanasius.

//

May the Light...

that the Apostle James left engraved on these paths...

serve the souls that have long sought the Way of the Lord.

Doing the Camino de Santiago...

is accepting the path of redemption...

and the apostolate that My Son offered to all his followers.

To live the Camino de Santiago...

is to offer oneself as an apostle of the Lord...

to find the paths of purification, redemption and rehabilitation.

Saint James the Apostle made this path...

to bring the Word of the Good News to souls...

and make that moment an opportunity for souls...

to meet, at some point, with the Love of the Lord.

Following this path...

is accepting to live one's own cross...

and learning, through experiences, to carry it with courage and determination.

The Camino de Santiago...

opened the doors for the evangelization of the West...

and for the redemption of this part of the planet.

Saint James the Apostle...

was, spiritually, accompanied by the Mother of the Apostles...

so that he could fulfill the mission that My Son had entrusted to each of His own.

The Way marked by Saint James...

was later traveled by the feet of the simple Mother, the Mother of Jesus...

carrying in Her hands the great symbol of the Grail...

thus awakening the life of the apostolate in all.

The Camino de Santiago...

was later the Camino de María Santíssima.

I thank you for responding to My call.

Bless you, now and always in love,

Your Mother Mary,

Rose of Peace
