The people of real thankfulness to Allah...

they are the very few.

May Allah accept our intention to be the very few.

Why are they very few? Because so many of us, we don’t even think that we owe Shukr to Allah (SWT), because we have been brainwashed to think that whatever we do, we deserve it. Whatever we do, it is because we do, that's why it happens.

Because our ego is saying “Whatever you want, you run, you make, you will get for yourself. You are the one who brings your Rizq [materiële welstand] to yourself. You are an ilah [god]. Forget about Allah. Forget about the intercession of the Prophet. Forget about the medet of the Evilyaullah [hulp van heiligen].”

Because today’s people, we only see ourselves to be so big. We see ourselves as bringing our health, our Rizq, everything from ourselves to ourselves. We even claim to thank Allah, but so many times it is empty.
