One morning, after praying with Cosimo... 

I say to him: 'Cosimo, if I saw Jesus, I would die.' 

And he put his hand on his forehead, and said: 

'What are you saying, mom!' 

And I: 'Yés, if I see Jesus, I die.' 

And he: 'Mom, you don't die.' 

'Because you eat Him, you don't die!' 

'Eating is more than seeing, He gets inside of you.'

For the umpteenth [zoveelste] time, that child was right: 

eating is more than seeing!

Rosaria had one of the many pneumonia that accompanied her throughout her life... 

so we decided that as soon as she left the hospital, she would receive first communion. 

As we gave her this news, she flourished again

But a strange request was made on her part. 

She told us: 'Mom, Dad, I want to have my first communion in the hospital chapel.' 

And I immediately replied: 'Rosaria, we are always in the hospital, at least at a day of celebration, we go somewhere else." 

And she: 'Mom, do you not realize that when we go down to the chapel, there are only people crying? I would like to give Jesus a day of joy and celebration!'

And so it was. 

We asked permission from our parish priest who allowed us to do it there. 

Rosaria was not mistaken: it was a great event for patients, hospital staff and for Jesus. 

In the evening, before going to sleep, she said: 'Mom, I'm so happy!' 

'I would like all the children to be happy like me... 

today Jesus smiled so much!'
