Whilst Pir Mehr Ali Shah...
was traveling to Madina al-Munawwara, the city of his great grandfather, he stopped in the Valley of Hamra. He prayed his four fard of 'Isha, but missed praying the four Sunnahs prior, and then he went to sleep.
In his dreams on that very night, he saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the Prophet said, 'O my child, have you forgotten about us? You're on your way to us, yet you missed our practice!'
Pir Mehr Ali woke up, and then penned his famous poem, 'Aj Sik Mitran' ...
A century later...
it remains one of the most recited and most-loved poems in the Punjabi language.
In the final lines, he says, 'Glory be to Allah, how beautiful you are! How excellent you are! How perfect you are! Where is Mehr Ali in rank and comparison? And how esteemed and honoured is your praise!'
about not missing a Sunnah Prayer whilst traveling!...
what excuse do we have for missing our obligatory Salah day in and day out?
May Allah allow us to all understand the importance of praying five times a day, for it will be the first thing that every believer will be asked about on the Final Day. Those who fall short in this action will fall short on the scales.

One of the reasons we suffer...
with such lack of blessings and goodness in life...
is because many of us have abandoned Salah.
If we don't establish the prayer...
then it doesn't matter who we run to for help...
how many hours we work, and how much we try.
We will never feel true Barakah in our lives, and in our families.
