For I tell you truly... 

the God of the living is richer than all the rich of the earth. 

And His abundant table is richer than the richest table of feasting of all the rich upon the earth. 

Eat, therefore, all your life at the table of our Earthly Mother, and you will never see want. And when you eat at Her Table, eat all things even as [net zoals] they are found on the table of the Earthly Mother. Cook not, neither mix all things one with another, lest your bowels become as steaming bogs [dampende moerassen]. For I tell you truly, this is abominable in the eyes of the Lord.

And be not like the greedy servant... 

who always ate up, at the table of his lord, the portions of others. And he devoured everything himself, and mixed all together in his gluttony. And seeing that, his lord was wroth [verbolgen] with him, and drove him from the table. 

And when all had ended their meal, he mixed together all that remained upon the table, and called the greedy servant to him, and said: 'Take and eat all this with the swine, for your place is with them, and not at my table.'

Take heed [Pas op], therefore... 

and defile not with all kinds of abominations the temple of your bodies. 

Be content with two or three sorts of food, which you will find always upon the table of our Earthly Mother. And desire not to devour all things which you see around you. For I tell you truly, if you mix together all sorts of food in your body, then the peace of your body will cease, and endless war will rage in you. And it will be blotted out even as homes and kingdoms divided against themselves work their own destruction. 

For your God is the God of peace, and does never help division. Arouse not, therefore, against you the wrath of God, lest he drive you from His Table, and lest you be compelled to go to the table of Satan, where the fire of sins, diseases, and death will corrupt your body.

And when you eat, never eat unto fulness. 

Flee the temptations of Satan, and listen to the voice of God's angels. 

For Satan and his power tempt you always to eat more and more. 

But live by the spirit, and resist the desires of the body. 

And your fasting is always pleasing in the eyes of the angels of God. 

So give heed to how much you have eaten when your body is sated, and always eat less by a third.

Let the weight of your daily food be not less than a mina, but mark that it go not beyond two. 

Then will the angels of God serve you always... 

and you will never fall into the bondage of Satan... 

and of his diseases.

Trouble not the work of the angels in your body by eating often. 

For I tell you truly, he who eats more than twice in the day does in him the work of Satan. 

And the angels of God leave his body, and soon Satan will take possession of it.

Eat only when the sun is highest in the heavens, and again when it is set. 

And you will never see disease, for such finds favor in the eyes of the Lord. 

And if you will that the angels of God rejoice in your body, and that Satan shun you afar, then sit but once in the day at the table of God. And then your days will be long upon the earth, for this is pleasing in the eyes of the Lord. 

Eat always when the table of God is served before you, and eat always of that which you find upon the table of God. For I tell you truly, God knows well what your body needs, and when it needs.

From the coming of the month of Ijar [half april, half mei], eat barley [gerst]. 

From the month of Sivan [mei-juni], eat wheat, the most perfect among all seed-bearing herbs. And let your daily bread be made of wheat, that the Lord may take care of your bodies. 

From Tammuz [juni-juli], eat the sour grape, that your body may diminish and Satan may depart from it. 

In the month of Elul [aug.-sept.], gather the grape that the juice may serve you as drink. 

In the month of Marchesvan [okt.-nov.], gather the sweet grape, dried and sweetened by the Angel of Sun, that your bodies may increase, for the Angels of the Lord dwell in them. 

You should eat figs rich in juice in the months of Ab [juli-aug.] and Shebat [jan.-feb.], and what remain, let the Angel of Sun keep them for you. Eat them with the meat of almonds in all the months when the trees bear no fruits. 

And the herbs which come after rain, these eat in the month of Thebet [dec.-jan.], that your blood may be cleansed of all your sins. And in the same month begin to eat also the milk of your beasts, because for this did the Lord give the herbs of the fields to all the beasts which render milk, that they might with their milk feed man. 

For I tell you truly, happy are they that eat only at the table of God, and eschew all the abominations of Satan. Eat not unclean foods brought from far countries, but eat always that which your trees bear. For your God knows well what is needful for you, and where and when. And he gives to all peoples of all kingdoms for food that which is best for each. 

Eat not as the heathen do, who stuff themselves in haste... 

defiling their bodies with all manner of abominations.

The second thing: 

look at the S E Q U E N C E. 

It is profound !

C R E A T I N G

The first miracle that is mentioned, by the permission of Allah...

is giving life to something that did not have life.

Why is that important?

Remember, now under Herod, there was Roman influence in the city of Jerusalem.

So for the first time there, you have sculptures.

And what does Allah say on the day of judgment to the sculpture makers:

that they will be challenged to give life to that which they make.

So when Isa molds something, and blows into it...

and shows that it is only Allah that gives life...

it is to challenge, first, the entirety of people...

that only Allah gives life.

H E A L I N G 

The second one, which is healing, is repairing life.

So something had life, but lost its quality.

Again, by the permission of Allah.

R E S U R R E C T I N G

The third one, giving life to the dead, by the permission of Allah.

So something that lived, and then died, and giving life to it.

By the permission of Allah.

The first thing He says, is that He is abdullah.

He declares that He is here in servitude to Allah swt.

By doing so, He immediately clarifies He is not God.

Ánd He clears the name of Maryam a.s.

Then, He speaks to the future.

He will give me a Book, and He will make Me into a Prophet.

And He made Me Blessed, wherever I may be.

Not just blessed in Jerusalem, not just blessed in Egypt.

Blessed wherever I may be, in both comings...

both the first coming of Christ and the second.

And He has entrusted Me with the prayer... 

and with the zakat, alms giving.

As long as He is alive...

in both comings.

In both comings will He uphold the Law of the Prophets before Him.

If you think about it, the first coming Isa a.s. upholds the Law of Moses.

The second coming will uphold the Law of Muhammad a.s.

So it is interesting, because He comes with a mandate... 

to uphold the Laws that come before Him as well.

And He has made Me dutifull to My Mother.

And He has not made Me one who is wicked...

or one who brings some sort of deprivation to the one He is born to.

It is said that one of the signs of wickedness of the time is the disrespect to the parents.

And it is said that this is also one of the signs of the Day of Judgment.

The idea of children treating their parents like slaves...

that is sort of the end of the road for people...

So Isa a.s. upholds His duty to His Mother.

And it is really powerful, because it speaks again to the virtue of Maryam.

That one of the reasons for His sending was to honor His Mother.

Maryam a.s. gives birth to Isa a.s.

A virgin birth to Jesus ﷺ.

Without any human intervention.

And Muslims affirm the virgin birth...

and Allah swt says that the creation of Jesus ﷺ is like the creation of Adam a.s.

He is said to be, and it was. 

[i.e. He was the Word...]

Just like Adam had no mother or father...

Isa a.s. was created without father.

And so this was a testimony to the power of Allah swt.

There is no need for any human intervention in the creation of this special child, Isa a.s.

And Maryam a.s. brings that child to that area of the temple.

And she is holding Isa a.s. in her hands, she is scorned, she is mocked.

Allah has honored this woman in the most beautiful of ways.

An entire chapter in the Quran is named after her.

She was from the devout.

And she is a leader for both men and women.

She is the best of women created, and she is an example for all of us...

to look towards as a person of devotion, a person of ibadah, servitude.

Story of Maryam a.s.

She is not the footnote in the story of Isa a.s.!

She is not just the chain between Imran a.s. and Isa a.s.

She herself is a woman deserving of much recognition...

and much love and respect.

When Maryam/Mary was worshipping Allah swt..

in her mihrab, her niche in the masjid... 

and Zechariah a.s would come and visit her...

every time he got in there, he found fruits... 

he found food that was out of season.

And he doesn't know where this is coming from.

So he asks: 'Maryam, where are you getting this from?'

'Look it's from Allah, Allah gives what He wills to whom He wills when He wills.'

Zechariah started to call upon his Lord, showing his weaknesses...

The angels actually cut him off here.

And Jibril is the one who gives the bushra, the glad tidings:

'Allah gives you the glad tidings of a son.'

Not only that: he is already been named, he has this quality, that...

Zechariah: 'And how am I supposed to have a child? When I am old, and my wife is barren.'

Don't ask that kind of questions.

Allah has decided it, it is going to happen.

And Allah creates whatever He wills.

Nothing is beyond Allah swt's power.

Now Maryam, she goes out, she witdraws to the east.

When she would leave the masjid once a month, she would go out to the east.

Many say, that was to appreciate the sunrise, she would go and watch the sunrise. 

She would go and do her dhikr and remember Allah swt.

And she would put up a hijab, a curtain.

She would put two stakes in the ground, and put up a curtain.

So that even when she was in the open, it was clearly signified:

this is my territory, don't come near.

She is a young lady, 14 tot 18 years old, a teenager.

And she is worshipping Allah alone...

remembering Allah swt alone.

And what did Allah swt say?

We sent to her non other than our spirits.

We didn't send her any Angel, we sent to her our Jibril a.s.

Jibril appeared to her like a completely proportional, beautiful human being.

A completely symmetrical human being, Jibril was perfect in every sense.

He came in the form of a young man.

Now does Maryam look at this young man?

This woman of purity and whatever it is, modesty, honesty...

Before Jibril can even open his mouth, she says: 

I seek refuge in the Most Merciful from you...

If you have any fear of Allah, if you have any decency inside of you...

turn around and go away, and let's not even talk.

Let's pretend this never happened. 

Just go seek forgiveness from Allah swt.

So why did Maryam start talking to Jibril after that?

Because, when she answered Jibril with that statement...

Jibril a.s. assumed an angelic form, a light with a voice, whatever it may be...

and he continued the conversation with her:

'I am a messenger of your Lord that has come to you...

to give you the glad tidings of a pure son...'

When she starts to argue: 'How am I supposed to have a son?

I have never even been touched by a man, I've never been impure.

The answer, as always:

Allah has decided. It's already done.

He will be a sign for the people, and a mercy from us.

And look this is already happening. You are already pregnant. 

It starts now. She conceived Him.

She hides away from her people for a time, as the pregnancy develops.

When the pregnancy starts to get to a point where she's going to deliver...

realize she is a young girl, she doesn't have anyone around her to help her.

She has never experienced pregnancy before.

When she is driven to the trunk of a tree, what does she say:

'I wish I would have died before this, and been completely forgotten.'

Some say, she was in so much pain, she thought she was dying...

Some say, the people of Iman are going to mock her, the people of faith.

They are going to mock a family of prophethood, look at what she was, what she was like.

So perhaps she calls out, and wished she never existed.

Then Jibril says to her: 

'Don't you dare grieve, don't be sad.'

He start coaching her through her pregnancy!

'You think you will have a disgraceful mention.

Actually, there is a revelation that is coming.

Make mention in the book of Maryam.

You have something awaiting you...

and you have no idea of what Allah is going to make out of you.'

'And look, Allah has placed beneath you a river.

Shake the palm tree, fresh ripe dates will fall upon you. 

Drink, and rejoice, there is supposed to be the coolest of your eyes.

Look at your child, not with a feeling of regret, but with a feeling of happiness.'

Then the next test comes: 

'You are not allowed to defend yourself when people approach you.

But Maryam had full confidence at that point, that Allah was with her.

She had been coached properly, and her trust was in Allah.

They definitely included Jibril, Michail, and the Angel of Death as well.

But a group of angels comes to visit Ibrahim a.s.

They don't say that they are angels... 

but just appear to be strangers walking through, wayfarers.

Ibrahim greets them enthusiastically: Come on in, have a seat!

He goes to Sarah: We've got guests!

And they gave him the glad tidings... 

of a knowledgeable young son [Isaak].

Because she's getting scared too.

She comes in hysterically, slapping her face.

What are you talking about? He is old and I am old.

He can't have kids and I can't have kids.

How is this happening?

And he, as always, answers with one word first:

Look, it's just like that.

That is how the angels are raised.

They don't ask these kind of questions.

How is this happening? Allah decided that is is going to happen.

It's just going to happen.

For Sarah was questioning God's wisdom: why nów?

Look, that is the way it goes.

Now notice, Ibrahim a.s. isn't doing anything.

He is watching his wife argue.

that you wouldn't notice in a moment of shock like that.

He says: That's nice, but what are you angels really up to?

Because Ibrahim recognizes, if this was a glad tiding of a child...

there would have just been Jibril, what's the Angel fo Death doing here...

What are the other angels doing here...

It is said, that was because Ibrahim was úsed to strange things happening.

Ibrahim has been thrown into a fire and it didn't burn him, right.

He was to slaughter his son, and his son turned into a ram.

He had seen so much in his life, that he has this trust in Allah.

That, you know what, it is what it is, alhamdulillah, and he was used to it.

So he simply says: what are you really up to?

And they said: we have been sent to a transgressing people.

We have been sent to the people of Lot [Sodom] a.s.

Lot, his nephew, the only one who believed in Ibrahim a.s.

Lot supported Ibrahim very early on.

And he grew in his own ambitions.

He went out to do da'wah in another town nearby.

So when Ibrahim heard that they were sent to the people of Lot...

what did he do? He forgets about the child... 

he starts arguing with the angels on behalf of Lot.

And they said: Look, we now Lot is there. 

We know the believers are there.

They are going to be fine. 

It is those that have transgressed... 

and those that have oppressed.

Notice...

that on the way to destroy a nation...

they just gave the glad tidings to Ibrahim a.s....

of a child that is going to produce nátions...

one of the largest nations on earth: Bene Israel.

A nation of prophets, of anbiya, and so on...

Then Allah commands Ibrahim... 

to leave Hagar and Ismail in the desert.

And Hagar is running around, carrying her baby, looking for anyone to help her.

She is in an abandoned place, there is no on there, right.

All of the sudden, she heard a sound.

She said: Come forth, if you have anything good to offer.

Suddenly, it was Jibril.

All he did was, he struck the ground with his heel.

When Jibril did that, the water obviously started coming from the earth...

and you know, in huge loads, Zamzam comes bursting out fo the ground.

And the mother of Ismail, she carved out the well.

Because she was afraid that the water would go all over the place...

and nothing would be left.

And the Prophet says: had she not done that...

the entire earth would have been touched by Zamzam.

Each and every single part of the earth.

ibrahim-jibril

The most mention of Jibril with any previous prophet... 

are with Ibraham/Abrahim and his family.

You find the mentioning of Jibril a.s. on numerous occasions,

You find it from the moment that Ibrahim was thrown into hat fire.

It says, that when Ibrahim was to be thrown into the fire, áll of the angels wanted to help him.

Michael a.s. was waiting for a command from Allah swt to put the fire out.

Allah could have easily just caused it to storm and the fire goes out.

All of the angels are waiting and wondering... 

why there is a delay in the command to do away the fire...

or to protect Ibrahim a.s.

So Jibril comes to Ibrahim a.s., and he says:

'Is there anything you want me to do for you?'

Ibrahim knows why Jibril is asking that question.

He says, I am not elite (?) for that.

Look, if it's from you, I don't want anything from you.

He said, if it's from Allah then okay.

He recognizes that Jibril was not given a command from Allah to put the fire out.

So if it's from Allah, then I'll take it, if it's from you, Jibril...

Look, Allah has a plan right?

So Jibril is telling Ibrahim: 

Why don't you just ask Him, just ask Allah.

Ibrahim a.s. says: Allah knows my situation.

His knowledge of my situation, makes it irrelevant for me to ask.

Abraham knows that Allah is going to make a way out of this.

So Jibril a.s. wanted to help hem.

But Ibrahim was the first one in that situation...

to say: Allah is enough for me, and He is the best of protectors.

And obviously the plan of God swt was...

that the fire wasn't going to burn Abraham.

It would be cool and peaceful on Ibrahim a.s.

There is not a single prophet of Allah, that you study...

except that there is a mention of Jibril, seriously.

Just go throught the stories of the prophets... 

you'll find the mention of Jibril a.s. in some way, shape or form.

He's got to be there, because he has been sent to 124,000 porphets.

Amongst them 315 were messengers, and he has been sent to each and every single one of them.

To teach them, to raise them, to support them, to protect them.

Jibril is the one who supports the prophets, who aids the prophets.

He doesn't just aid them by bringing them revelation. 

He plays a multitude of roles, from the very moment...

Adam was expelled from Paradise...

the first soul, first creature that has been given a spirit...

he said: 'La hawla wala quwwata illa billah.'

Angels...have no gender, no desire...

nothing to distract them... 

from worshipping their Creator.

Ik was aanwezig bij die bruiloft. 

Er was ook Jezus met zijn discipelen. 

Ik was bezig met de andere vrouwen. 

Mijn hart was dicht bij Jezus, terwijl mijn blik niet van de diners afdwaalde om te ontdekken wat ze nodig zouden kunnen hebben. Ik realiseerde me meteen dat de wijn op was. Ik voelde het ongemak van de echtgenoten en van alle gasten, wanneer ze het zouden hebben opgemerkt. Ik ging snel naar Jezus en je weet hoe het eindigde.

Ook vandaag is mijn blik op de mensheid gericht. 

Jezus vertrouwde haar aan mij toe voordat hij stierf, in de persoon van Johannes.

'Zie je zoon' klonk voor mij als 'Zie je kinderen!'

Sinds die dag... 

zelfs nu in het Koninkrijk der Hemelen... 

is mijn aandacht voor jou ononderbroken. 

Ik volg je, stap voor stap, in je leven... 

vooral in de gebeurtenissen die je doen lijden. 

Elke pijn van jou is voor mij aanwezig... 

en ik lijd met jou mee.

Mijn hart is altijd dicht bij het goddelijke hart van Jezus... 

en bij Hem stort ik je angsten, je zorgen uit. 

Zoals die dag, in Kana van Galilea... 

fluister ik tegen Jezus wat je nodig hebt. 

Vaak ben jij het niet eens die erom vraagt: 

ik realiseer het zelf. 

Jezus luistert altijd naar me... 

zelfs als... je het niet verdient. 

Hij kan geen nee zeggen tegen Zijn moeder.

Ik raad je echter aan... 

om ook te luisteren naar wat ik toen zei tegen de mensen die aan tafel bedienden. 

Ik herhaal het vaak in je oor, het is belangrijk: 

'Doe wat Jezus je zegt!'

Ja, om de genaden te krijgen moet je acht slaan op Zijn suggesties. 

Het advies dat Hij je in je ziel laat voelen, en dat ik zelf in je hart fluister.

Elke dag zijn er nieuwe situaties van bloed en geweld in de wereld. 

Ik zie dat het je aan vrede ontbreekt. En niet alleen uiterlijke vrede... 

dat je tussen naties ook innerlijke vrede mist. 

Ik zal je helpen om jezelf onder te dompelen in de contemplatie... 

van het mysterie van Diegene die onze Vrede is. 

Geef je over aan mij.

Laat me terugkeren naar jullie families... 

bedreigd door uiteenvallende krachten waarover ik wil zegevieren. 

Er is weinig vertrouwen in jullie families. 

Vrede en familie zijn de twee woorden die ik tegen mijn Zoon herhaal... 

en waarvoor ik vraag om nog een wonderbaarlijke tussenkomst, zoals die dag. 

Ze hebben geen vrede meer, ze zijn de heiligheid van het gezin vergeten!

Met de transformatie van water in wijn, die dag... 

werden de harten van de discipelen geopend voor geloof... 

en de Heer wilde dat dit door mijn tussenkomst zou zijn. 

Zelfs vandaag de dag kan ik blijven ingrijpen. 

Help me met je gebeden.

Het waren drie dagen van pijn, van zorgen, van kwelling. 

Hij vertelde ons dat Hij 'in het Huis van zijn Vader moest blijven.' 

We begrepen het niet, maar we accepteerden wat Hij zei, omdat we wisten dat Hij geen kind was zoals de anderen. Zijn woorden bleven mysterieus voor mij en voor Jozef en ik hield ze in mijn hart. Ik hoor ze vandaag nog steeds, en ik wil ze onthouden om ze aan jou voor te stellen, en ze samen met jou te herbeleven.

Jezus leerde ons... 

dat we boven alles, en in de eerste plaats, de Wil van God moeten zoeken en doen. 

In het Huis van zijn Vader verblijven, betekende dit. 

Thuis zijn, voor ons mensen, betekent op je gemak zijn. Je goed voelen. We proberen ons allemaal goed te voelen, geen angsten en zorgen te hebben, we proberen allemaal rust te vinden in onze dagelijkse inspanningen, verfrissing voor onze vermoeidheid, troost voor onze tranen.

God zond Jezus naar de aarde, zodat Hij ons door Zijn Geest... 

deze zoetste verlichting kan geven.

Ik proefde God op deze aarde, met Jezus zo dichtbij. 

Nu geniet ik volop van Hem in zijn Koninkrijk. 

Nu is het jouw beurt en ik wil je helpen... 

zodat jij kunt ontdekken hoe fijn het is om met Hem samen te leven. 

Ook als je het niet begrijpt, zoals mij en Jozef die dag is overkomen. We begrepen het niet en accepteerden het toch. We voelden ons getroost, omdat we Hem weer vonden, maar voelden ons juist getroost omdat we Zijn keuze accepteerden, waardoor ook wij zoveel moesten lijden.

Laten we samen de Heer zoeken. 

Ik met jou, ik aan jouw zijde, voor het geval je Hem ooit verliest. 

Jezus zal zeker gevonden worden, inderdaad als je beseft dat je afstand van Hem hebt genomen, juist op dat moment komt Hij naar je toe, ik duw Hem naar je toe. 

Wees niet bang: erken dat je mist, stop je geest in het verdriet van het verlies. Dit betekent bekering en bekering is het begin van redding. Nu bid je, en in gebed zoek je die aanwezigheid, die je zo vaak heeft getroost. Zie Hem in mijn armen, uitreikend naar jou.

Zie Hem als puber aan mijn zijde, Die mij helpt, onderdanig...

 en ik zal Hem vragen om jou te helpen, die naar Hem op zoek is. 

We aanvaarden alles uit de handen van God, want alles is genade. 

Zelfs momenten van leegte, van verbijstering. 

Je zult de Heer altijd bij mij vinden.

braken de zeven jaren van hongersnood aan... 

juist zoals Jozef voorspeld had. 

In alle landen werd honger geleden... 

maar in Egypte was overal voedsel. 

Toen ook heel Egypte honger kreeg... 

en het volk Farao om brood smeekte... 

zei Farao tot alle Egyptenaren: 

`Ga maar naar Jozef en doe wat hij u zeggen zal.' 

Toen er honger was in heel het land... 

stelde Jozef de hele voorraad koren ter beschikking... 

en verkocht het aan de Egyptenaren, naarmate de honger in Egypte nijpender werd. 

Uit alle landen kwam men naar Egypte om bij Jozef graan te kopen. 

Want de hongersnood woedde hevig in de hele wereld.

1 Nu kon Jozef zich voor de overige omstanders niet langer goedhouden... 

en hij riep uit: `Stuur iedereen weg.' 

Zo was er niemand meer bij, toen Jozef zich aan zijn broers bekend maakte. 

Hij huilde zo luid, dat de Egyptenaren het hoorden. 

Ook in het huis van Farao werd het bekend.  

Jozef zei tot zijn broers: 'Ik ben Jozef. Maakt vader het nog goed?' 

Maar zijn broers konden geen woord uitbrengen, zo ontsteld waren zij over hem.  

Jozef echter zei tot zijn broers: `Kom toch dichterbij.' 

Toen ze dichterbij gekomen waren, zei hij: 

`Ik ben Jozef, de broer die jullie naar Egypte verkocht hebben. Je hoeft niet zo terneergeslagen te zijn en jezelf niet meer te verwijten dat jullie mij hierheen verkocht hebben, want God heeft mij voor jullie uitgezonden om jullie in leven te houden.  

Er heerst nu al twee jaar hongersnood in het land, en er komen nog vijf jaren dat het ploegen geen oogst oplevert. God heeft mij vooruit gezonden, om jullie voortbestaan op aarde te verzekeren en om velen het leven te redden.  

Niet jullie hebben mij hier gebracht, maar God zelf. 

Hij heeft mij tot een vader voor Farao gemaakt. 

Tot heer over heel zijn huis. 

En tot heerser over heel Egypte.
