Because she was afraid that the water would go all over the place...

and nothing would be left.

And the Prophet says: had she not done that...

the entire earth would have been touched by Zamzam.

The most mention of Jibril with any previous prophet... 

are with Ibraham/Abrahim and his family.

You find the mentioning of Jibril a.s. on numerous occasions,

You find it from the moment that Ibrahim was thrown into hat fire.

It says, that when Ibrahim was to be thrown into the fire, áll of the angels wanted to help him.

Michael a.s. was waiting for a command from Allah swt to put the fire out.

Allah could have easily just caused it to storm and the fire goes out.

All of the angels are waiting and wondering... 

why there is a delay in the command to do away the fire...

or to protect Ibrahim a.s.

So Jibril comes to Ibrahim a.s., and he says:

'Is there anything you want me to do for you?'

Ibrahim knows why Jibril is asking that question.

He says, I am not elite (?) for that.

Look, if it's from you, I don't want anything from you.

He said, if it's from Allah then okay.

He recognizes that Jibril was not given a command from Allah to put the fire out.

So if it's from Allah, then I'll take it, if it's from you, Jibril...

Look, Allah has a plan right?

So Jibril is telling Ibrahim: 

Why don't you just ask Him, just ask Allah.

Ibrahim a.s. says: Allah knows my situation.

His knowledge of my situation, makes it irrelevant for me to ask.

Abraham knows that Allah is going to make a way out of this.

So Jibril a.s. wanted to help hem.

But Ibrahim was the first one in that situation...

to say: Allah is enough for me, and He is the best of protectors.

And obviously the plan of God swt was...

that the fire wasn't going to burn Abraham.

It would be cool and peaceful on Ibrahim a.s.

In 1731 a great fire broke out in Gradec.

City fires were common on Gric [Gradec, upper town] and Kaptol [down town] during that time... 

but this time St Florian [patron of firefighters] was helpless. 

In the said year, that fire was far worst that any other before... 

and it started at the [paulinian!] St. Joseph Seminary. 

Torpid [trage,lome] warrior Klement Lukovic's head hit the table, and his right hand swept a candle on a heap of old papers. Yellow paper turned into a serious fire which spread to the shelf and then onto the ceiling. By pure luck, father Kamilo wasn't asleep, so he woke up the students, who jumped out of the windows.

Bells rang from the church of St Mark, citizens woke up and ran to the streets to put the fires out. They collected water from wells, and made a cordon all the way to Medvescak, passing by buckets of cold water, but alas, it was too late. 

A strong wind blew, changed direction, and the fire spread on nearby houses, down the Gospodska, Kapucinska and Kamenita streets. Around 50 buildings burnt down, including several citizens. 

One of the victims was petty trader [kleine handelaar] Judita Bedekovic, who always had grotesquely enjoyed the suffering of witches on bonfire, and a general conclusion of citizens was that she got what she earned for.

Widow Modlar wasn't at home that night. 

She was out of town for several days, praying in Trski Vrh and staying at her family in Krapina, where she heard about the terrible fire. 

She immediately went home to find Stone Gate looking up to the heavens, as a long time ago without a roof. The fire burnt the roof, all wooden parts of the building, doors, furniture, chapel, paintings and a small chest. Fortunately there was no money in the chest, because widow hid the gold in a cellar, as always when she would go on a pilgrimage.

She stood there with her spirit broken, sad over the remains of her home, but... 

she didn't cry to the heavens... 

and did not ask the Lord why. 

She was sure that everything happens at the will of God... 

whose ways are mysterious. 

She prayed at the site of fire: 

"God Who makes us better by punishing us

by forgiveness support us

give Your humble servants

to rejoice to the Peace

At that moment the rainy clouds that saved the city dispersed and the sun showed up.

Zij kwamen nu aan de overkant van het meer... 

in het land van de Gerasenen.  

Nauwelijks was Hij uit de boot gestapt, of daar liep Hem uit de grotspelonken een man tegemoet, die in de macht was van een onreine geest. Hij huisde in de graven, en niemand was meer in staat hem zelfs met een ketting te boeien, want al meermalen was hij in voet- en handboeien geketend geweest, maar de handboeien had hij uit elkaar getrokken en de voetboeien verbrijzeld. 

Niemand was dus bij machte hem te overweldigen.

Dag en nacht...

was hij onafgebroken in de grafspelonken en in de bergen aan het schreeuwen, en beukte zichzelf met stenen.  

Toen hij in de verte Jezus zag, snelde hij op Hem toe en viel Hem te voet. Luid schreeuwend riep hij: “Wat hebt Gij met mij te maken, Jezus, Zoon van God, de Allerhoogste! Ik bezweer U bij God, kwel mij niet!  

Want Hij had hem gezegd: “Onreine geest, ga weg uit die man.”  

Daarop vroeg Hij hem: “Wat is uw naam?” 

Hij antwoordde: “Mijn naam is Legioen, want wij zijn met velen.”  

En hij smeekte Hem met aandrang, dat Hij hem niet uit de streek zou wegjagen.

Nu was men daar tegen de berghelling een grote kudde zwijnen aan het hoeden.  

Zij smeekten Hem: “Stuur ons in die zwijnen en laat ons daarin gaan.”  

Hij stond het hun toe. 

De onreine geesten gingen uit de bezetene, voeren in de zwijnen en de troep stortte zich van de steile oever in het meer, ongeveer tweeduizend en ze verdronken.  

De zwijnenhoeders namen de vlucht... 

en vertelden het in de stad en op het land.

Daarop kwamen de mensen kijken wat er gebeurd was.  

Zij kwamen naar Jezus toe, en zagen de bezetene zitten, gekleed en goed bij zijn verstand, dezelfde die in de macht van Legioen geweest was. En ze werden door vrees bevangen.  

Die het gezien hadden, verhaalden hun hoe het gegaan was met de bezetene, en vertelden ook over de zwijnen. Daarop begonnen zij bij Hem aan te dringen hun streek te verlaten.

Maar toen Hij in de boot stapte... 

verzocht de man die bezeten geweest was bij Hem te mogen blijven.  

Jezus stond dit echter niet toe, maar zei hem: “Ga naar huis, naar de uwen en vertel hun alles wat de Heer aan u gedaan heeft en hoe Hij u barmhartigheid heeft bewezen.”  

De man ging heen en begon in Dekapolis alles te verkondigen wat Jezus aan hem gedaan had; en allen stonden verbaasd.
