On April 26th 1987, 8am, the first Sunday after Easter...
(at that time, it was not yet 'Divine Mercy Sunday'...)
exactly one year after Chernobyl [+300km away]
dressed entirely in black, the Virgin Mary appeared
first appeared to 12 year old Marina Kizyn
who then called her mother
and a few neighbours...
soon others followed
a bright light covered the Chapel of the Holy Trinity ánd the surrounding area
from within this 'impressive silver dazzle' over the church,
the Virgin Mary appeared, floating above the cupola
according to mystic and writer Josyp Terelya:
''there was an orange-blue-yellow light, very bright, that started to sway [zwaaien]
for four months, until August 15, 1987
every day, there were apparitions
seen, in sum, by 500,000 people
often 45,000-70,000 at one time
even by KGB agents
priests from underground catholic churches came
and held up to 10 masses per day
in front of the church
