enkele vragen

Q: I would like to ask why you say we should only have one Master?

A: You see, if you want to reach your goal, let's say you want to go to Cordoba, for example, how many buses can you take? Of course, you can take many buses, but would you reach directly there?

It is the same, you see. If you want to reach a certain destination, the main thing is: how clear is your destination? And how much do you long to reach to that destination? If you want to go faster to that destination, than you take a direct road, no, you take your fast road, you take one bus, and ten hours later you will reach your destination. But if you want to go to that destination, but yet you want to go to a tour around Argentina to reach to Cordoba, will it then take the same time, or not? Will it take ten hours, or may it take perhaps double or triple?

And also one thing you have to understand, why it is said to have one Master... Who IS the Master? Who IS the Guru? Guru is not just a normal person like left right people take guru's, you know... No, when you can say: "You are mine!", it is a different matter. When you can say: "You belong to me!", when you are clear about where you stand, then you can visit and receive blessing of many guru's...

The same, you see, your parents for example, your mother and your father, your parents are yours, thousand people can say "You are like my child", or "We are like your parents", but they don't become your parents. So "like" and "is", that's two different things.

With one Master, you stand on a path which yóu belong to. So once that is clear, of course receive the blessing... you can take also knowledge from somewhere else, and utilise it for your own growth! As long as you know what you are clearly, and know what is meant by having one Master.

-

Second... Very often you see one Master may say something, and another Master may say something else, which means it's not bad, but Masters see things in a different angle, the view of the Master sees things in a different way, in a broader way, more open, more possibilities, but the disciple doesn't see the same way.

That's why you see many times that the Masters are more open than the disciples, the disciples are more fanatic, because they see it in a very square way, not in a broad minded way... and then you see disciples of this Master, disciples of that Master, they keep fighting each other.

And both are saying: "We love God! We are spiritual!" But they are fighting!... That is why you have so many religions fighting with each other. But what is the difference then between spiritual people and these people? They don't make any difference, no... you are acting the same savage way!

-

Do you understand why it is important to have one Master?

It is not to become fanatic!

No you broaden your understanding firstly, and be clear of where you are standing, and when that is clear, yes, have the knowledge from everywhere! Because knowledge is something that is very important. That is why you all have come here! To gain knowledge! Knowledge that will access something deeper inside of you, which is called love...

Because love is not what people superficially think it is... No, it is something more superior than that, that Love you gain from the Master. That is something very important, you know.

When you are in a boat, you can stand on two boats, but when one boat starts going, what will happen? You will fall into doubt, into delusion, and so on. That's why scriptures say that you must have one, like you have one mother, one father, you have one Guru.

Actually, Guru is more than one mother and one father... Then what the Guru can give, mother and father cannot give. Understand what that is.
