giastin 3

Then there was that part of her...

mixed with her love for Jesus crucified.

She told Him everything. Every evening, she had this appointment with Him.

-

She was 8 years old...

and one morning I asked her: 'Giastin, how can you talk to Jesus? Do you see Him?'

She put her hand to her forehead as if to say: 'What question are you asking me?'

She then replied to me: 'See mom, if you put your eyes closed, and start talking with your mind to Jesus, and listen in silence, you realize that He answers you! Mom, you really feel it!'

Seeing, that I was staring at her without saying a word, she resumed: 'Mom, you don't understand, Jesus is not only body but also Spirit. I didn't want to scold you, but make you understand how to do it!'

I started laughing so as not to make her feel mortified...

and thanked her for teaching me how Jesus felt.

She had such a big heart...

that she has always shared everything.

First with her sister Rosaria and then with Cosimo.

What tenderness she gave me, when she said: 'Rosaria, will you take me in your arms?'

As I put her on her sister's legs, she promptly licked her and said: 'Rosaria you are so good.'

How many times did Rosaria say: 'I don't take you, because you lick me!'

She: 'I promise, I won't do it.'

But as Rosaria was distracted, she promptly did it.

And as Rosaria told her that she had promised, she replied: 'Yes, but I told Jesus it was a fake.'

-

She always prayed for others.

Once a friend of ours who was on his way to Lourdes, asked her if she wanted to write a note for Our Lady... She wrote that note, and handed it to me to then give it to this friend of ours. I never looked in her diaries or in her things, but that morning I don't know why, but I opened that piece of paper, where it was written:

'Mama my Dear in Heaven, I do not ask for healing for me, I pray for all the people that Papa God has put on my path, that they always have peace in their heart.'

She was always like this.

'Mom,' she said, 'you have to pray first for the soul, then for the body.'

Giastin did a lot...

even outside the walls of our house...

out of respect for what she thought about good.

She said: 'You don't have to put up posters, God knows.'

-

On February 12th, 2004 she wrote in her diary:

'No man is a prisoner of his limits if his mind is free to fly'.

Her body has never been a limit for her.

She has always flown free and continues...

to fly into people's hearts...

today.
