One of Dunya's assistents was named Maria.
Before appearing there, she spent three years in the hospital with a bad leg. Her neighbor, an old woman, tirelessly appealed to Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker in her prayers. Following her example, Mary also began to pray for Nicholas' healing and intercession before the Lord, promising that after her recovery she would make a pilgrimage to holy places.
Finally, Saint Nicholas appeared to her in a dream and healed her leg. But when Mary got home, she forgot her promise. Nicholas then appeared to her for a second time, and asked: 'Have you forgotten your promise?' Mary now begged her husband to let her go on a pilgrimage. And by the will of God, after visiting Sarov and Diveyevo, she came to Dunya, to her cell.
It is said that she was humble, and obedient like a child.
Annushka was very different.
She was also blessed to care for Dunya by her confessor, Father Anatoly.
Annushka came to Dunya's cell from a merry worldly life, and at first it was very difficult for her, because now she spent her days with Dunya doing spiritual exploits, fasting and praying.
Over the years, more and more people began to come to the house of the blessed, bringing various gifts and presents to the sisters, so that Dunya would pray for them. But the sisters ate very little, and many gifts were left behind.
And then one day, succumbing to temptation, Annushka, having stolen all the necessities, ran away to her relatives in her village. She lived with family for a year and got homesick. She was ashamed of what she had done and went to Dunya for forgiveness. Anna fell to her knees before her and wept.
Dunya also wept with her - tears of joy!
That the Lord would forgive at the sight of Annushka's repentance.
Daria Ulybina, or as the peasants called her, Daria Siushinskaya...
was the last of the cell servants to come to Dunya. She prayed the Jesus prayer constantly. While she was still living at home, she read the entire Psalter, standing up every day.
She lived with Dunya for the last six years before their martyrdom.
These simple ascetics...
and prayerfull beings lived quietly and peacefully.
People began to go to them for advice, asking to pray for relief from problems and needs, to heal from illness. The crackers Dunya gave often brought people healing and relief from various ailments.
They started asking her about everyday farming problems, such as the loss of a horse or a cow. By the power of her prayer, Dunya was able to heal possessed people. As the people say, she healed the spoiled. They came to Dunya with tears and sorrow, and no one left her inconsolable.
