is the most demanding charitable work carried out by the Opera dell’Amore Association in its activity for the realization of welcoming initiatives and material and spiritual help to needy people and priests.
Solemnly inaugurated in Poleo, Sunday September 8th, 1996, the feast of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mary, Casa Annunziata is the second important realization, in order of time, desired by the Madonna. Another visible, tangible sign of her maternal solicitude towards the weakest and most vulnerable.
This house has five floors, two of which are underground. It is a comfortable, welcoming environment, full of light and space. Located in a panoramic, residential position, with its large park, bordered by tall chestnut trees, it guarantees a pleasant stay for the guests.
The management of the building is the responsibility of the Opera dell’Amore Association which, in addition to assisting the management and administration of the work, guarantees a volunteer presence for various activities.
At Casa Annunziata are welcomed elderly people alone, abandoned [in de steek gelaten], whose social status has been proven and documented. In this Marian house we try to offer a particular atmosphere, derived from an authentic welcome, animated by a love that makes every person feel, not a guest, but a member of a real family unit where everyone finds their dimension and comes accepted, loved, valued for what he or she is, according to the desire expressed by the Virgin Mary:
'Let it be a family.'
